our Birthday Bandit

Parang kahapon lang when I gave birth to him, I close my eyes and the joy I felt the first time I saw our little angel is the same joy I have every waking morning seeing Vierte sleeping by my side.

Tomorrow our little man will turn 1! We’ll have a merienda party at home and a big party on the 26th.

He’s now all over the place. Crawls’ a lot and would sometimes take a few step to pickUp a toy. Pretends to read pointing to pictures on his books. Love’s to eat table food especially sinigang and dinuguan. Eat’s like he’s got some teeth when he’s got not even one. Claps his hand and sways when he likes the music. Knows very well how to make lambing when he’s done something mommy doesn’t approve of. Calls out “dada” when a phone rings. When somebody says “tara labas tayo” he would raise both his arms to that person. When asked how old he is, he would signal 1 in his hand. Give’s out a handsome grin when we sing Happy Birthday. When he hears the cat purr he would say “ohh mama.” Adores our neighbors dalmatian even if its not fond of him. He’s morning isn’t complete without seeing this boy selling pandesal. He likes playing with his balls. Prefers book and playtime over TV. He doesnt’ know any cartoon character. Rubs his nose on my face when he’s the first to wake up.

One more month to go and we’ll be celebrating Vierte’s birthday. Party will be held a week after his big day at McDonalds on a Cowboy theme.

a few updates
*He blabbers a lot of sounds now to express himself when his happy, sad or annoyed.
“mama nanan” – he’s hungry for milk
“ahh ho” – as if whispering when he hears cat purrs and dog barks
“mam mam” – says this out loud during meal time, he’s way of asking for water.

*sobrang likot na! he crawls from around the house from the sala to our room. There are times that he doesn’t want to be carried and would cry till we leave him alone in his mat and stand by his toy box or the piano to reach out for the keys.

*when inside his playpen he throws toys out of the pen and waits till the toy settles then picks a new one to throw. probably experimenting gravity? hehehe

*lately he’s been choosy with his food, refuses to eat 1 kind of for the week. everyday we have to think of exciting ways to cook his meal or it will end up in mommy’s tummy instead.

*according to Coy he’s got a beatles kind of hair but still doesnt have any tooth popping out. baby bungal pa din!

*wrinkles his nose when he hear somebody say bad smell

*turn his head left to right when he hears “no”

*raise both arms for “winner”

Time flies so fast it seems it was just yesterday that I gave birth to him.

ayayay…mommy totally didnt’ find any spare time to update what the little man has been doing lately, without further blah let me begin

meet the cousins
Ate Aya and Kuya Kevin arrived from Davao mid July to fix their US transit visa to Majuro, finally after 4 long years they’ll be spending time with dad Tito Aries. Its the first time that Vierte got to meet his cousins’, at first he didnt like the attention given to Ate and Kuya and he showed his protest by crying and too clingy to all of us, but the next day he was all well and was playing with the cousins.

Prince Michael is the youngest cousin on Daddys’ side and when they were introduced he didn’t allow me to touch the baby and also got upset when Lola Let carried the little one to have their photo taken.

Seloso! mana sa mommy. 🙂

1st Carnival rides
a farewell treat from Lola Bing to Ate and Kuya was spent at Fun Ranch where the kids had much fun. Vierte had his first carousel and ferris wheel ride.

Photoshoot
Vierte was invited for a photoshoot for a baby book series to be released this October. He was not cooperative during the shoot as he was required to stay in one place he crawled back to the photographer and Tita Badet got frustrated cheering him up for a smile.

the joy of walkin

Mommy and Tita went shopping last week for your 8month gift, we we’re arguing between buying you a musical toy or a walker. We ended up buying a walker, and when you saw it your sleepy eyes brightened up! hehehe…At first you only sat and played with the balls after a while you stood up and move forward, surprised by the movement you cried 😦 pero the next day you we’re all over the house. Kaya kailangan na i-move yung mga things ni lola bing out of your way and reach.

Right now, mas nahihirapan na rin ako umalis ng bahay kasi hinahabol mo na ako. By the time you see me go inside the bathroom you walk to the door and tap it till pagbuksan kita. And when you see me carry my bag you reach out and say “mama nanan.” You’re Daddy suggested that I leave when you’re asleep nalang.

You seem to like nice voice’s particulary yung matataas yung tune. Whenever we play the high notes you give us that smile and would sometime sing along with your own lyrics hehehe. Last night Tita saw you watching “the singing bee” show. hmmm, mukhang namana mo yan sa Mamita Elsa.

Naku anak ang bilis ng panahon your 8 months and now Mommy is busy preparing for your 1st birthday party.

Father’s day lunch

Since Daddy is working far away we celebrated Father’s day with my Lolo Junior. Mommy and I bought Krispy Kreme donuts for Lolo to which mom later recalled is not allowed to eat to many sweet food, yikes!

We we’re also in for a surprise when Lola Let told us that we’ll have lunch at TriNoma to celebrate fathers day with my ate Cj’s family. Sadly we waited for almost two hours to be seated ang dami kasing tao! While waiting Tita Crist and Tito Jack helped me walked and I really had fun.We had lunch at Gerry’s Grill, well the adults did while I was enjoying my homemade mashed squash. After having my dose of vegies I was all set to play with my tita’s but then it was also time to go home. Oh well, till the next visit!

Happy Fathers day Daddy! Mommy and I miss you much!

It has been a month since Vierte had his taste of solid food and im happy to report that he’s such a foodie. Now he eats rice with veggies or soup, and joins us during meal time kasi he has his own highchair na which we bought at Landmark Trinoma after visiting his grandparents. Well it took a while for us to buy his chair kasi I already had in mind a highchair na made of wood that we can also convert to table and chair, we saw one at MotherCare Shangrila pero super expensive (6k) then a Mommy Bong told me she bought one from SM for a reasonable price (2k) pero when I checked SM out of stock na kaya buti nalang Mommy Cheiz saw one sa Landmark kaya binili na namin agad baka maubusan ulit. So far his favorite food are Kalabasa, Rice with sinigang soup, Sayote, Marie biscuit, Graham cracker, Banana, Papaya, Avocado and Watermelon. Yesterday his Tita Badet had a crazy idea of feeding Vierte ampalaya since its one of my favorite veggie natuwa naman kami kasi he kinda liked it more than potatoes 🙂 hehehe Hopefully till he grows up we wont have a hard time feeding him and sana lang di mapili sa food. We are still waiting for his tooth to pop out anytime soon, no signs yet.



He can now stand-up in his playpen, and he has just recently discovered that he can also do this in our bed. Funny thing lang is he refuses to let him help us for him to sit down bigla nalang yan iiyak kasi pagod na sa kakatayo saka pa lang papayag na tulungan namin. He likes tapping the wall and staring out of the window especially when he knows that either Lola or ate Mich is just outside.

When we talk about his dad or tell him na daddy’s awake na we have message from him, he would repeatedly say dada dada dada, one time when my phone rang he stopped playing and looked at me tapos biglang dada na yung tone parang nagtatanong hay I almost cried. He refers to me as mamama or nananan especially when his hungry na, pagkain lang ata ako sa kanya hehehehe.
