Go watch! La Perle by Dragone

Last month, we had the opportunity to watch La Perle at Al Habtoor City. It was AMAZING! well more than amazing really, no photo or video you see online will do any justice to what the show has to offer. If you are clueless on what it is, read up! La Perle by Dragone is the first permanent show in the region, produced by cultural creative company Dragone, directed by the legendary artistic director Franco Dragone and brought to Dubai by the Al Habtoor Group. La Perle is a live entertainment, taking place in a tailor-made aqua theatre. So many things are happening in the show, don’t dare blink or you will end up missing something. Everything so fast paced now it is important for us to take it slow, step back a moment and think about the important people in our lives. Great moments does not really have to be extravagant, it could be as simple as getting off social media and just be in the moment listening to your kids stories. School break is a perfect time to spend as much time with family –  spending extra cuddles in bed, sharing new experiences or teaching them house chores. I have been busy getting the kids involve at home, they have been assigned responsibilities like setting the table, watering plants, washing dishes (more for my 9 yrs old) and loading dirty laundry on the washer. An invitation for me to host a cooking demo came as a surprise, I coordinating a Mother’s Day event for the #UAEMomBloggers when suddenly the question if I would be available to host the event came. I said YES without hesitation thinking that I will be standing in front of people I know (well mostly just online) and have had a chance to talk too. Spreading Healthy Lunchbox Fun with Al Islami

We had a fun filled and exciting weekend at the Al Islami Kids Club mall invasion held at Arabian Center last Friday. The event I was most excited about that day was the Lunchbox Competition. We had more than ten participants who prepared healthy and creative lunchboxes. A lot of the participants had a clear game plan on how to present Al Islami protein products the star of their lunchboxes. It seems like the parents were more tensed during the competition (I would be too), I could hear them giving instruction to their kids and making sure that they don’t forget important components like fruits and vegetables. I joined Alisha Haque of SCAFA and teen Chef Bella on stage as one of the judge for the competition.   Before the competition, I was in the meet and greet booth talking about the three bento lunch boxes I prepared showcasing six Al Islami Food products. Inspiring Happier and Healthier Kids with Al Islami Kids Club

I am so happy and honored to be part of Al Islami Kid’s Club campaign to inspire kids and their families to make healthier food choices. Who would have thought that from the first project I worked with them which was to showcase simple and fun bento box, it has now become a social awareness. Al Islami’s very own teen Chef Bella has been busy visiting schools in the UAE to inspire kids to live a happy, healthy and active lifestyle. As of the moment they have reached out to more than 3000 students across the United Arab Emirates. Al Islami Kid’s Club will be officially launched on October 28 at Arabian Centre. Kids participating in the competition will have a chance to win 10,000 AED, an iPad and be featured in the next campaign. It will be a whole day of fun and learning on how to make healthier choices. We found ourselves spending a fun weekend at Caboodle, first was at Dubai Mall branch for Freaky Friday. Caboodle’s Freaky Friday is a monthly themed activity where children ages 18 months to 8 years old gets the opportunity to explore and discover a topic thru play. For the month of October it is all about science themed crafts and activities. Under the supervision of a friendly Caboodle staff, kids got to work on fun science experiments – How to make slime, Lava lamp and Ocean bottle.   Mo of Curiosity Lab showed more fun science activities much to the kids delight. LittleMiss Chloe was so interested that she volunteered! Building Session at LEGOLAND Dubai Shop

We were among the few Mama/Family bloggers invited to an exclusive event of LEGOLAND Dubai’s pop-up shop at The Beach, JBR. With just 2 months till LEGOLAND Dubai opens it’s doors this October 31, 2016, we were treated to some inside information of its Submarine Adventure Attraction. It has about 15,000 species and its largest marine animal is a Zebra Shark as well. Something the whole family can enjoy together.   We were given building sheets of our selected marine animal – Nemo, Tang Fish and Shark. LEGO Expert, Shamil assisted us in case we had questions during our building session. Chloe was busy making houses out of Duplo for our LEGO Nemo fish. LEGOLAND Dubai is bringing “AWESOME” to The Beach before its official opening wit a pop-up shop that is open daily on September 10-17 from 10 am till midnight. Visitors of the shop will enjoy LEGO building experience and a chance to have a photo opportunities with characters Princess and Buddy. In addition, LEGOLAND annual pass are also sold in the shop.
