Lunchbox Review: OmieBox

I have been packing my kids school lunches in an OmieBox several times for the past school year. Now, my kids and I can give you our thoughts on this product. OmieBox is the only compartment style lunch available in the market that is capable of storing both hot and cold food. Perfect for kids who enjoy hot meals for lunch. Pros: Tons of space, each compartment is a whole thumb deep which means you can pack a lot of food to satisfy a big appetite. The handle makes it easy for the kids to carry around without the need to pack it inside another bag. Leak-proof – each compartment is sealed individually, packing yoghurt is possible. Insulated bowl is made of two layers of stainless steel. I pack hot food around 6am and the kids said it still is warm by break time which is around 10am. A slider …

3doodler start 3d pen review

Getting Creative with 3Doodler Pen

We first saw and got a to try a 3D pen during the innovation week held at one of the malls here in Dubai. Vierte spent most of his time trying out the pen but he needed an adult supervision since the device tip is hot and not safe for kids. Last week, I received an email from the representatives of Precise Group to try out a child friendly 3D printing pen, the 3Doodler Start. Precise Group are the sole distributors in the Middle East. Out of more than 30 things he listed for Christmas, one wish was to own a 3D pen.  I knew that he would be delighted to be amongst the first kid in Dubai to get his hands on this amazing tool. Why we like the 3Doodler Start No Hot Parts. Pen makes use of a special eco-plastic stick which melts at a lower temperature. The pen itself does not get hot and a kid can touch the melted plastic as it is not hot. The 3Doodler pen is lightweight and easy for the small hands to grip. Easy …

Honey Soy Chicken with De’Longhi Multifry

I have been using my De’Longhi MultiFry for more than 1 year now and it has reduced my work time in the kitchen. The first time I got to use the MultiFry was with Chef Osama where we made Um Ali. Some Dubai base Mama media influencers were invited to celebrated Mother’s Day with Chef Marta and De’Longhi at Galeries Lafayette Gourmet, The Dubai Mall. View this post on Instagram Fun morning with Chef Marta and #DeLonghi at @galerieslafayettedubai We made sweet potato fries, blueberry muffins and Chicago style pizza with the use of @delonghioficial #MultiFry A post shared by Abigail (@cuddlesandcrumbs) on May 7, 2016 at 3:42am PDT   Chef Marta Yanci taught us how to properly use the Multifry and showed us 3 recipes (fries, pizza and muffin) that we can re-create at home. The kids and I prepared Sweet Potato fries and it was surprising that both really liked the fries. I have mainly been cooking most chicken dishes and crispy lechon on our MultiFry because it just cooks much faster and use a …

Healthy Frozen Dessert with Yonanas

Ice cream is one dessert that all of us love at home!  It’s a bit of a problem since we are trying to cut unhealthy sweets in our diet. I saw a Yonanas ad on YouTube back in March 2013 and I want to have one! Just before we left for our summer vacation, we were invited by Dole for the media preview of Yonanas hosted by  Marina Mums at MAKE Business Hub Dubai.     Yonanas promises to give you a healthy frozen dessert that is sugar-free and dairy free. A machine that uses a new technology to transform frozen bananas and other fruit into a dessert that looks and tastes like an indulgent soft-serve ice cream.   Now, you might argue with me and say that – you can also use your good old blender to make one. I agree that you can make a healthy dessert with your blender, I tried but was never successful in achieving the creamy ice cream texture using one … and how many of us are comfortable having our …

Product Review: Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil

I’ve been using Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil for almost two weeks now and I’m impressed. A pump nozzle to dispense the oil makes it easy to use and avoids spilling all over the place. Pumping the right amount does take a bit of getting used too though because when you push the pump all the way down it shoots out a lot of oil.   I applied Skin Therapy Oil on four areas – face, neck, CS keloid and stretch marks. Surprisingly, oil was easily absorbed in all areas. Stretch Marks: Creams I used during pregnancy did not work on my skin. Almost two years after giving birth via CSection to two kids, marks became faint white lines – no noticeable change so far. I have accepted the fact that my pregnancy marks will stay with me forever and I’m happy with that. CS Keloids: Occasionally my stitch gets really itchy, makes me want to cut it open and scratch the insides. Therapy Oil didn’t solve problem but it eased itchy level …
