Meydan Friday Brunch

Meydan Friday Family Brunch

Are you looking for a brunch that would tick the box for great food, drinks and keeping the kids occupied?  The Friday Family Brunch at Meydan Hotel definitely ticked off every thing in the list. There is a massive buffet with a dozen of live-cooking stations spread in the garden area overlooking Dubai skyline and inside Farriers restaurant and foyer, offers an extensive culinary journey from around the globe featuring European, Middle Eastern, Asian and South American cuisines together with a wide variety of vegetarian specialties. Furthermore, BBQ lovers (that’s us!) are in for a treat, Meydan culinary chefs are making use of Josper which is the top-of-the-line Spanish ‘grill & oven’ known for its environment friendly aspect, consuming lower charcoal than open grill. Believe me, the richly flavored grilled meat has a deep smoke flavor that would make you come back for more. While the offerings is massive, it does not feel overwhelming  because of the floor to ceiling glass walls that brings in natural light, sitting area is not cramped that you can even …

Swissotel The Playhouse Brunch

Swissotel Hotel which opened early this year at Al Ghurair Dubai recently launched The Playhouse Brunch in Liwan Restaurant  which focuses on keeping the little diners entertained. A brunch can last up to 4 hours long and the truth is kids are fed within the first 30 minutes after which they are just bored waiting for the adults to be done.  As a mom one of the important brunch element I am looking for is keeping the kids entertained with engaging activities. Happy kids means a relaxing brunch for parents.  A dedicated room where kids can play, have their face painted, work on some crafts and a Nintendo Switch for bigger kids. Another area was all about “playing with food” where the kids get to design cupcakes and cookies with the guidance of Swissotel Chef’s. Parents can dine at peace because the hotel went an extra mile with the installation of CCTV cameras on all the kids area. Wide screen TV are strategically placed in the dining area for the parents to view while enjoying …

Movenpick Friday Brunch

Giveaway: Back to School Friday Brunch

Giveaway! Celebrate your kids milestone of adjusting well to school life with a Friday Brunch. We did just that at Movenpick Bur Dubai’s ‘Back to School Friday Brunch’. It was a well deserved treat for the kids and us parents too. They offer a wide variety of food selection to cater to every one’s liking. Some meals were even served in a tiffin box keeping up with the theme. A wheelbarrow carrying assorted seafood visits each table. A dedicated kids room located at first floor has a buffet which offers Movenpick’s Power Bites menu. I felt that the room needed more attention specially to keep younger kids entertained. Game consoles are available as well which kept the older kids occupied. The kids room is on the first floor while the buffet area was at the ground floor, I suggest that you accompany your children specially if they are under 6 years old. Join the giveaway over at our Instagram page, here.   Terms and Conditions: The gift voucher is for a Friday Brunch for 2 …

Friday Farmers Family Brunch at Bab Al Shams

We have heard great things about Bab Al Shams Desert Resort and Spa from friends who have spent a weekend staycation but we have not been there ourselves. While it may seem like a stressful long drive just to have brunch it became a fun scenic trip once we found ourselves driving in the middle of the desert, we played spot the camel first which made journey pass in no time. Driving in the resort took our breath away and immediately regretted not visiting the place before this brunch invitation. The resort look similar to the old forts we visited at Fujairah, it was just beautiful. Friday Family Brunch is held at the resorts Al Forsan Restaurant which won the Shorlist Award for the Best Family Brunch for 2017. The place had a beautiful outdoor area overlooking the desert, a big area for the kids to run around. Join us for brunch in the video below. Food Al Forsan’s brunch had plenty of yummy dishes to offer from fresh farm produce, in house cheese, sushi, …

We ate Uok at Angono, Rizal!

One of the things we made sure to accomplish during our vacation back home in the Philippines this year was to explore the province of Rizal. I have lived in Rizal for 10 years and it has been our home base whenever we are back home. The province of Rizal has a lot to offer, it is after all the Art Capital of the Philippines. Some of the top things to do in the province is to visit art museum, old churches, spend a day at nature parks and explore food scene. We accomplished two of the suggested things to do – eat and relax. First on the list is FOOD. Balaw-Balaw Restaurant located at Angono, Rizal is well known for serving local delicacies and exotic dishes. I have been to this restaurant twice however a first time for my Daddy C, kids, my Mom and siblings. This restaurant was also featured at Andrew Zimmerman’s show Bizarre Foods. We chose to have lunch at this restaurant for us to try out some exotic food. Here are …

DUKESY Beach Brunch at West 14th

We found ourselves driving to the Palm for a brunch last week, our invitation came with a promise of a lazy river, tons of kids activities and beach access. While good food is an essential part of brunching, the question if my two kids will have fun tops the list. FUN is an understatement of how my kids describe the DUKESY Family Brunch. I asked Kuya V and Chloe to tell me why this could be the best family brunch in the UAE… Water Fun Both the beach and pool was just a few steps away from the restaurant area, which is awesome according to Kuya V because he can just easily go back and grab some food. Guests are welcome to enjoy the beach and pool from 10am – 6pm. It is included on the brunch deal. Beach towels are available for all guests to borrow, free of charge. Lazy River LittleMiss Chloe (5yrs old) was tall enough to walk around the lazy river pool. Three lifeguards were on watch to make sure every one was safe. Swim rings both …

Daycation Brunch at Lapita Hotel

Lapita Hotel located at Dubai Parks and Resorts has launched a new family experience available at the park – The Daycation Brunch. Dubai Parks and Resorts is obviously becoming our favorite family destination, it is after all the biggest theme park with LEGOLAND Dubai, MotionGate and Bollywood Park. Have you been yet? You should really check it out while we have this beautiful weather in Dubai. The lobby terrace gives you a beautiful view of the property, makes one forget that you are still in Dubai. Polynesian brunch What makes Lapita’s brunch different? We have been to a couple of brunches and I think what stands out with them is that the whole setup did not feel crowded and overwhelming. Brunch is hosted at Kalea Restaurant which occupies the whole ground floor that extends outdoors. Inside you will find salad area, sushi, fresh seafood, cheese table and generous choices of desserts. Kuya V kept going back for more nitrogen popcorn prepared by CandyKool.   Outdoors, you will find Chinese hot pot & noodles, roast beef with all the trimmings, curries and a grilling station. I sadly miss having some butter …
