Ice Age Musical

Last Friday we surprised V with Ice Age Live Musical Meet & Greet at Burjuman Centre.     Ice Age Musical was about 45 minutes long and right after kids get to meet and have a photo taken with the characters.   Thank you Burjuman for all fun free shows for our kids. Looking forward to the next one.

Starting a Christmas tradition – Advent Calendar

Growing up my family’s Christmas countdown starts on the first Simbang Gabi. Santa Claus was not a biggie for us we had our very own gift giver which was our parents, godParents, Aunts and Uncles. The highlight for us would be the Noche Buena , opening of gifts when the clock strikes 12 midnight and finally getting our Christmas money from our GrandParents.   Having a family of my own, I want to have a tradition for Christmas specially for the kids. Something that they will remember when they have kids of their own.   My eldest V believes in Santa Claus, we didn’t really introduce him I guess he got it from his friends in school. When we put the Christmas tree up he has been bugging us when will Santa Claus visit.   This year I showed Daddy C several ideas for Christmas and we both love the idea of having an Advent Calendar. Of course C let me decide what kind of calendar we’ll use as well as crafting them. I managed to create a stocking …

Vierte clowning to 5

V chose a clown cake design to celebrate his 5th birthday. He gave me specific instructions on how his cake will look like. We asked him if he wanted to have a big party or special gifts from us. All he wanted was clown cake for school, chocolate muffins, Oreo bites and special gifts. Baked a chocolate cake on a bowl pan so the face wont be flat but the cake turned out to be dry so I decided to use round 6″ inches baking pan thus a flat face for this clown. So sorry for giving you a flat face happy clown. Before leaving for school V made us promise that we bring his sister to school as well. The joy on his face when we revealed the cake in front of his friends was priceless. “My mom made that for me!” We learned a lesson from last years 4th birthday dragon cake to not make a mess on the classroom. Instead of slicing the cake for the kids to enjoy each one had a vanilla …

10 days till he turns 5

Mom I will be 5 soon right? When I’m 5 Kuya will be a big boy already! October is a special month for us. I gave birth to a special surprise from up above. C and I welcomed a baby boy and we named him Markus Ezekiel. Last week, while I was busy attending to Chloe’s needs Vierte approached me and said “When I was a little baby you also take care of me all the time, right Mama?” I sensed that he badly need to have some mommy time so the moment Chloe took her nap I showed him my old blog posts when he was still a baby. “Ohh mama you love me so much when I was a baby right? and now I’m big boy you still love me right?”  “Yes I do! Remember that you will always be Mommy’s first baby and will always be my baby even when you have a girlfriend.” “Mom! I don’t have a girlfriend. I will say I love you to you always Mama”   We …

No school just yet

No yet! V was snoozing by 8pm for his first school day. Me despite of the lack of sleep was up at 5:30am to prepare his snack. By 7am all five us (including Chloe) all ready to bring V to school. We arrived and there was no students on the KG building so we thought we were too early but it was already 7:20am then the one of the teachers approached us “Is he in KG? They start on Tuesday.”   We left Vs school laughing.   We have to do this all over again on Tuesday.

little toys called Bakugan

We bought V this Bakugan set as a prize for doing well in his first school concert, he’s been saving every coin he finds around the house to be able to buy one. They start out as ball and when you place or roll them on top of the cards they change to this “robot” like thingie. I spent a good 2 hours trying to figure out how to put them back. If you find one mommy with a box of this little ball monsters that’s probably me.

Rockstar for a day

We bought some stuff at GAP  when the cashier informed us of the GAP Rockstar event at Mercato. When V heard the word rockstar he immediately declared he wants to go.   April 14 came and we headed off to one of our my favorite mall Mercato. The organizers asked us to line-up the only problem with this was no one from GAP was there to look after the line and it was quite chaotic with some parents arguing over who was there first.     Finally after spending 40 minutes waiting it was V’s turn to have his rockstar make-over. He had wanted his hair up with colors sprayed on them like the other kids before him. All the time he was looking at this 2 yr old (I think) boy who was crying his lungs out while one of the ladies tried to fix his hair who wanted to give up already but the Mama insisted/instructed that she put more gel here and spray more colors. By this time you could here …
