Peppa Pig Cake and Cookies

Sheila of AB & Me asked if I could help her make cookies and fondant cake for her Little B’s 3rd birthday.  She has been doing DIY birthday party for Little B since she turned 1 year old. Amazing Mama!

The last big fondant cake I made was my friend’s wedding cake, before I gave birth to LittleMiss C. We worked on the cake & cookies for 1 week.

Peppa Pig Cake

Mama S took charge of the designs while I did all the baking.

The base cake is 3 layers of  8″ Moist Chocolate cake and the top is a 4″ chocolate and vanilla layer cake. Fondant was bought at Tavola, brand is Fondarrific. I was a bit disappointed with the fondant as it was not smooth and had a elephant skin after rolling.

Baked 3 dozen Vanilla Cupcakes with Butter Frosting.

PeppaPigSugarCookie

We use Haniela’s recipe for sugar cookies and royal icing. Printed out a photo of Peppa Pig and use it as a template for the cookie.

Sheila did a great job with the labels and party decorations. Read more about Little B’s Peppa Pig party here.

Next cake project is for LittleMan V’s 7th birthday party this month.
