We are definitely in a Christmas mood after attending our first tree lighting ceremony and first Santa encounter this season at The H Dubai.
I posted a video of the tree lighting in my instagram, you can view it here. Walk pass by the Christmas tree and you will see an edible gingerbread house, almost as tall as Kuya V.
It was a lovely gathering with Christmas carols, delicious canapes, mulled wine and hot chocolate.
Gingerbread House Decorating
This was LittleMiss’ first time decorating her own gingerbread house, with a little help. We were handed a built gingerbread house, icing and assorted candies.
We ate almost half of the candy stash given to us, chef’s were prepared and provided us with more candies (to eat!) to make your houses pretty.
Can you guess who designed each house?
I had to convince LittleMiss that her house was already pretty, she kept saying “More candy, Mama.” The chef’s gave in to her request and gave us more with some edible snow, oh how she laughed while sprinkling sugar snow.
The perfect ending to that day was of course Santa’s visit.

Christmas in a Crate till January 7, complete with turkey, stuffing’s and all the trappings. You can pick-up a regular turkey (AED 895) or large turkey (AED 1095) at the hotel.
Christmas Eve Dinner on December 24, a five course meal the whole family can enjoy. It’s AED 320 per person.
New Year’s Eve Fest on December 31, experience a West Coast Swing party with a luxurious tapas-style meal or set dinner menu. Starts at AED 300 per person.
New Year’s Day Brunch on January 1, start your 2015 with a lavish brunch at The Restaurant. Price starting from AED 350 per person.
