We spent an afternoon tasting delicious brownies at a newly opened Brownie Blues shoppe located at Jumeirah Plaza. Owner and founder, Ms. Arva Arbas started as a homebaker before finally deciding to open an online brownie gifting store.
I initially thought that the shoppe also offered coffee but no, it is not a cafe. A physical store was opened to give customers the option to drop by and taste a block of delicious brownies.
Brownie Blue’s team gave us a box of 6 assorted flavored brownies – Mocha, Orange, Ferrero Rocher, Rocky Road, Oreo and Classic.
Verdict:
The brownies although not gooey is so moist and had an almost melt in your mouth texture. It has a rich chocolate taste but not bitter. Flavoured brownies was not overly sweet for our taste. We would have preferred if it had more of the chosen flavored bits inside.
Brownies eaten the next day that was stored inside the refrigerator and heated for 10 seconds in the microwave lost it’s moisture and became a bit crumbly. As a baker I understand that this really happens because the brownies were heated. I suggest that you skip heating it up and enjoy brownies cold or at room temperature.
Brownie Blues have a very beautiful packaging which you can personalize according to the occasion. You have the freedom to choose a ribbon color, stickers and add a written message on a card provided. They also deliver for free within Dubai.
Price wise, some customer might find it expensive. I, however think that you get what you have paid for because the packaging is really nice, brownies are almost an inch thick and it really is good.
- Classic Brownies: box of 6 – 70Dhs, box of 12 – 120Dhs
- Flavoured Brownies: box of 6 – 80Dhs, box of 12 – 130Dhs
My boy’s will however tell you “Mom’s brownies are better!”

Gosh! They all sound and look so delicious, it is hard to pick up one single brownie! But choose iI must then, it would be the Ferrero Rocher Brownie. Awesome 🙂 i heard about brownie blues when i was in sl on vacation. There menu has a must try all flavours kinda temptation but first comes peanut butter and mocha brownies 🙂

I am a sucker for anything Red Velvet so I would definitely love to try the Red velvet brownies. But all of them look so delectable!
Looks yum. They have too many flavours to even try and pick, but if I just HAD to pick up, it would be the Mocha.
Brownie Blue is a delicious concept located right in the midst of Dubai. It is extremely difficult to choose from such a huge variety of specialized brownies but I think I would have to go with the Red Velvet and the Oreo Cookie Brownie. I really like bakeries that stick to one thing that they can deliver with perfection and Brownie Blues hits that on the spot with its rich, savoury brownies! Hope to try out each and every one of the flavors by the end of this year if not month! Kudos on the simple but sophisticated packaging!
