Last week, we spent a relaxing family day-cation at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai. We were surprised on how big the place is, it seemed small from the street of Jumeirah Beach Road. Lush green propery overlooking a 350 metre white sandy beach of the Arabian Gulf will take you away from busy Dubai life.
The whole morning was spent in the family swimming pool and going down the slide. The bar served delicious drinks, our favourite was the orange-mint fresh juice. The Ritz Kidz club is located close to the family pool and play area, which is perfect to give parents some alone time to unwind.
Lunch was served at Caravan Restaurant, they have a modest buffet selection of Mediterranian, Indian and Arabic food. They did not have any spread dedicated for the kids but the Chef’s can prepare something for them if they don’t fancy any of the dish available. Our LittleOnes enjoyed the Cajun Roasted Chicken, rice and Na’an bread. The restaurant is located close to the Ritz Kidz as well.
Ritz Kidz club prepared various activities for the LittleOnes, that they were more than happy to give Mum & Dad some alone time. I loved that the ladies prepared engaging activities that encourage them to interact with other kids. They made fruit smoothie, flower crafts, decorated cookies, piñata, and played treasure hunt around the hotel. Thank you Ritz Kidz ladies-Raquel, Nancy and Anne who made our kids very happy, they can’t stop talking about the time spent at the kids club.
Chef Dustin taught us how to make a different version of sugar cookies that made use of yogurt. The cookies were chewy in the insde and not overly sweet.
Learned a few tricks and new healthy cocktail recipes from The Baie Lounge beverage guru, Dominik. I will share them here once I get a chance to re-create them.
Behind the tall buildings of Jumeirah Beach Road is a hidden gem that is The Ritz-Carlton. We are always on the look out for a family friendly extablishments and Ritz-Carlton definitely is on our list. Thank you for a relaxing family day-cation, Ritz-Carlton family.

Wow, it looks like a dream vacation hotel. Especially, I loved the Ritsz kid’s club, Here in India, such facilities are not available (as far as I Saw). Me and my husband always think about such sections in hotel, where we can make our kids to stay safe and to enjoy, so that we can also get some time to spend with each other.
Nice Place Abigail, Thanks for Sharing.
Hi Seema! It was indeed a nice short break for us parents, to not worry whether the kids are having fun and safe as well. I hope bigger hotels in India offer this kind of program soon.
