Every year since we arrived in Dubai we have been to each of the MB&C Show. V absolutely love going to the show and participates on almost all the kiddie activities, have his photo taken with the mascots and for us parents this is the place where we get to complete our Christmas shopping.

Cuddles and Crumbs 
Our Christmas tradition changes from year to year, depending on where we are living and who is coming to visit us (sometimes it’s no one). Actually Christmas is my favorite holiday, but I’m not sure why since we don’t really celebrate it in a big way.
New Year’s is a much bigger deal for Japanese families, so all our end of year holiday stuff happens after Christmas! We make traditional Japanese foods that are eaten specifically in the New Year and give otoshidama money to the kids.
Japanese food! Expect us knocking on New Year’s Eve!
The Holiday season in Dubai has a very special taste and my family and I have developed some favourite things to do around here during this time of year. The weather is usually perfect for outdoorsy activitities so we love to have a Christmas picnic in Creek Park with our friends and their children, where the kids bring their kites, balls and bikes and have a fun filled day out there, and we bring along some holiday treats and cakes along with us to enjoy :O) Another favourite place of ours is Global village which is pretty amazing round this time of year, and there are so many great gift ideas on offer there in the different pavilions, that we’re really spoilt for choice! We also love to check out the various cuisines and food kiosks available there and taste new dishes and delicacies. I think the thing that makes any holiday special is being together with your family and loved ones and enjoying their company, this gives you the best holiday cheer ever ! Happy holidays everyone ! :O)
