Hello there, party people!
Welcome to MyNappytales! I am very excited to to be participating in my second year of Ultimate Blog Party. I’ve hopped on to awesome blogs last year and hope to get to know someone new or revisit old ones this week.
Please grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.
My name is Abigail and I blog about family life as an expat, my children, and food. I am pretty much adventurous when it comes to trying new dishes, are you?
MyNappyTales family at Dubai Miracle Garden
You are inside a Filipino home and in case you didn’t know we eat rice and meat for breakfast, lunch and dinner (some of our desserts are rice base as well).
I invite you to a spread of grilled meat, assorted seafood, rice cooked 2 ways and pomelo salad. A spread meant to be eaten using your bare hands and shared among friends – a Boodle Fight.
We’ve been an expat family here in Dubai for 6 years now. My busy SAHM schedule revolves around my LittleOnes – Kuya V and LittleMiss C.
Kuya V is currently on Junior 1. Since he started grade school I felt like parenting difficulty went 5 steps up.
I’ve been trying hard to have at least one blog post up weekly. It is my daily struggle to find balance between homework, toddler, house chores and maintaining blog. I cherish rare moments to just sit down and finish a warm cup of coffee (I’ve re-heated my morning coffee a few times).
Thank you for taking time to drop by, you can get to know us more by visiting About Me page.
Before you leave, I’d like to ask – how you find balance between house and blog?
Looking forward pop in your space for #UBP14.
Hi Abigail! I have some friends that live in UAE! Maybe you’ll run into them sometime 🙂 Your food looks amazing and I totally identify with reheating the coffee/tea a zillion times throughout the day. In fact, last night before bed I was downing the rest of my tea as I stood in front of the dishwasher.
There’s a reason for you to visit UAE then. 🙂 Someone should invent a cup that will keep tea/coffee warm for 4 hours.
Thanks for dropping by.
I’ll have a coffee please and the food looks delish!
Hi Linda, Thanks for dropping by. I agree expat life will change one person. In my case kids always win.
I was trying to figure out a way to “offer a beverage to guests” in my post and drew a blank. You pulled it off. I’m a little jealous. It must be amazing to live in Dubai. I’ve never even traveled to another country!
Hi! Thanks for dropping by. Living in Dubai has it’s ups and downs, we are still very happy here. You may not have traveled physically to another country but visiting blogs somehow make you “travel” as well.
Hello Abigail.Great to meet you courtesy of the UBP. I’ll have the latte please!
Interesting to read that your “parenting difficulty went up 5 steps” when Kuya V started school. I had assumed it would be easier but like you, found that stage even more challenging.
Hi Cindy! Thanks for dropping by. I hope he comes home one day with no homework or quiz scheduled.
Hi Abigail! I’m glad to have found you at the UBP14! I’m so curious about your life in Dubai and how you experience the culture. Perhaps you’d like to guest post for my blog sometime (exploraworld.org/blog)! Looking forward to learning more about your experiences through your blog!
