Chloe and I were admiring an artist doing her magic using charcoal, when she blurted out “I want me draw too, Ma” so I asked her if she can sit down still so the lady can draw us, “Yes, Mommy.”

We met the artist, Orsi Joni from Budapest. It was her first Art Festival outside Europe and first time in Dubai.

Poor thing, fell asleep as while Orsi drew her lovely face.

Orsi took up a course in university related to art, and has been drawing for more than 10 years. She wants to conduct two classes, one that would help students in the university and another one with children that will not follow a strict art class structure.

People pass by admiring her work and I took the liberty to do the marketing for her. She can draw you a portrait (Dhs 80) or in a cartoon style (Dhs 50). Many promised to come back after.

It took her about 30 minutes to finish our drawing our cartoon image.
