Mother’s day is celebrated in the UAE on March 21st. In the Philippines, mother’s day is celebrated every 2nd Sunday of May. For this craft we made use of basic shapes of circle, hearts, triangle, and square. Things you need: Paper plates Cut-out shapes: hearts, oval, square, triangle Glue Scissors Washi tapes Assorted embelishments   How to make Cupcake on Paper craft: As you can see on the first photo above you have the option to stick all shapes or by shape. Then design the way you like it. I provided LittleMiss similar size of Washi tapes and gave her instructions on where to stick. She then dab a glue on the “cake” part and designed with embelishments. To highlight the shapes we traced the corners with marker. Lastly, make it more special by writing your special message to Mommy. Bonus: Mommy won’t put on an extra inch in her waist 🙂

The LittleOne’s were very happy when I told them we are going back to the snow park and meet the penguins. It was the perfect time to meet them up close because we just watched the movie Penguins of Madagascar.

The date at Yuan was a surprise for our eldest, Kuya V. I wanted to re-assure him that even if he’s a big brother now, he will always be Mama’s baby boy. Yuan restaurant has a kid dining policy of 4 years and up. The initial plan was for Kuya and I to go on date and Dad will spend the afternoon with LittleMiss. We asked Yuan’s reception if they would allow us to dine with our toddler, they agreed saying that the policy only applies for dinner. Our hostess led us to our table and handed us Yuan’s Yam Cha brunch menu, we are to order anything that we want on the menu.

Kuya V’s first competition

Vs teachers encouraged him to join the competition, and he said yes. Every session teacher’s reassured each student that doing your best is important and winning is a bonus. He did not win. Dad and I asked if he would like to join next year’s competition, he said YES. He promised that next competition he will practice every day. We are so proud of you!

Brownie Blues Review and Giveaway

  We spent an afternoon tasting delicious brownies at a newly opened Brownie Blues shoppe located at Jumeirah Plaza. Owner and founder, Ms. Arva Arbas started as a homebaker before finally deciding to open an online brownie gifting store. I initially thought that the shoppe also offered coffee but no, it is not a cafe. A physical store was opened to give customers the option to drop by and taste a block of delicious brownies.
